Nagad has made transactions safe and comfortable at Smart Haat of sacrificial animals
To encourage cashless payments, the mobile financial services company Nagad has also organized smart payment shopping at the animal market for Qorbani (sacrifice). This service has been launched in Qurbani Haat this year as part of developing Smart Bangladesh. By transacting through Nagad, customers will get attractive gifts along with maximum security.
Under the initiative of Bangladesh Bank in the management of Dhaka North City Corporation and Chittagong City Corporation, ten smart animal haats have been launched in two cities. Besides, the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and Bangladesh Dairy Farmers Association are providing overall support in the management of Smart Haat. Smart Haats have cash booths and skilled staff to provide various services to buyers and sellers.
Nagad has taken the lead in every initiative of the government to promote cashless transactions. As a part of that, the mobile financial service company has been given the responsibility to ensure cashless transactions at two Smart Haats in the capital Dhaka. The two markets are Gabtali, the country's largest animal market, and Bochhila, another large sacrificial animal market in the capital.
Customers who buy or sell animals for a certain amount money through Nagad in both the markets will get attractive t-shirts, caps, mugs, key rings and pens. These gifts are available at various stages of purchase.
Making the Smart Haat effective, Nagad has already conducted awareness raising activities among farmers in different parts of the country. Apart from this, many of the farmers who have trade licenses have been opened entrepreneur accounts. As a result, farmers can sell animals in this market and return home without carrying any cash.
Apart from this, after receiving the money for the sale of animals in the Nagad account in these haats, if you want, you can cash out that money at the lowest cost from the Nagad booth located in the Haat itself. At the same time, interested buyers can also make cash-in from the booth as required. Moreover, the farmer can cash in his own Nagad account if he wants to sell animals in cash transactions. Or you can secure it by sending money to someone's account at home. Again, even if there is no Nagad account, the account can be opened easily from the booth located in the market.
Mohammad Zahidul Islam, Head of the public relations department of the organization, said about the initiative of Nagad with smart pet market, ' Nagad always comes first with any digital initiative. We are working in solidarity with the government's initiative to bring 75 percent of the country's transactions under cashless payment by 2027.
He said, 'Bangladesh Bank has been working since the beginning to make this initiative successful. We stand by farmers and consumers to make such a great initiative a success. We believe that using cashless transactions can provide maximum security to the customer, ensuring convenience. This process of cashless transactions will prevent the use of fake money and will also play an important role in curbing related crimes.
Apart from Smart Haat, like the last few years, a significant number of online sacrificial animal purchases have accumulated. Thousands of animals will be traded here. Nagad is the customer's first choice as a payment method for buying and selling animals online.
